The Acid Wash procedure, integral to the Fusion Bond Epoxy Application process, is employed to effectively eliminate chlorides and other contaminants from the external surface of the pipe prior to heating and coating. All residual acid is meticulously collected and neutralized to ensure compliance with environmental standards before disposal.
*Acid application is precisely controlled using metered pumps, and the pipe is subsequently rinsed with high-pressure de-ionized water to remove any remaining residue before it proceeds to the heating furnaces.
